TRICARE
-
TRICARE Prime: Receive medical care on-post and at the local surrounding medical communities, speciality care, urgent care, emergency, inpatient, and outpatient medical services. Active Duty SMs are automatically enrolled (but must still contact TRICARE East to register themselves and their families). Beneficiaries can choose Prime or Select. Basic referrals MUST be referred by your PCP.
TRICARE Select: A "preferred-provider network" available to all non-active duty beneficiaries. This option provides the most freedom of choice for off-post providers who accept TRICARE. Referrals are not required, but users may have to pay for services up front and file their own claims for reimbursement, as well as an additional monthly premium.
US Family Health Plan: A branch of TRICARE Prime serviced through a local, not-for-profit, independent healthcare organization instead of the Military Treatment Facility (MTF). At Fort Drum, this is the Martin's Point Health Care system. All health services are rendered through Martin's Point network providers (no on-post care).
Call your TRICARE Representative if you'd like to change your plan or discuss further options!

Enrollment and registration are required for Active Duty Service Members, families, and retirees prior to receiving care at all Fort Drum Medical Activity clinics.
Enroll with TRICARE East/Humana by calling 1-800-444-5445.
Register with the Fort Drum MEDDAC by calling Medical Records at 315-772-4032 (Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm).

The only out of pocket costs are prescription drug copays. For one-time prescription fills, you will use retail pharmacies (all pharmacies in the Fort Drum area are in-network) and for maintenance medications you will receive them through the Martin's Point Mail-Order Pharmacy.
If your family currently has TRICARE Prime, they can switch to the US Family Health Plan at any time. If they are currently TRICARE Select, they will have to have a QLE within the past 90 days in order to enroll.
Enrollment is easy! Stop by the Martin's Point office at 26121 US Route 11 in Evans Mills, or give them a call at 315-785-5467.
